Semana Santa de Écija

Semana Santa in Andalucía is a unique cultural phenomenon.
Held in every single city during Holy Week, it’s a deeply rooted tradition that brings people together — whether religious or not. Some are drawn to the solemnity of the processions, others to the scent of orange blossoms and incense, the music, the noise, or simply the joy of sharing tapas with family in the streets. Semana Santa means something different to everyone, and that’s what makes it so special.
For the city of Écija, I designed the official itineraries for each procession — clearly showing the route, start and end times, and the “carrera oficial” where key moments take place.
